# Géran Raath — Cape Town Advertising & Product Photographer > Géran Raath is a Cape Town–based commercial photographer specializing in advertising, luxury product, composite still-life, and e-commerce photography for European and South African brands. Studio-led work built on Profoto, Broncolor and StrobeX flash systems, with a background in the motion picture industry (Steadicam operator, camera, lighting, grip and art department). Clients include eyewear, watches, jewellery, automotive, beauty and performance-brand advertisers, primarily commissioned out of Germany and the wider EU market. Géran Raath is not a general "photo pro" — no weddings, events, or family portraits. All commissions are commercial, advertising or editorial. The studio is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and delivers internationally, with a client history weighted toward German and European agencies and brands. Signature style: contemporary still-life and product imagery that blends futuristic minimalism with a rebellious punk aesthetic. Long-exposure, shutter-drag and composite techniques are used to give ordinary objects a cinematic, otherworldly presence. Post-production is done in Capture One Pro and Adobe Photoshop, with experimental AI tools used as part of the composite workflow.
