I’m a product and composite photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa, specializing in luxury fashion photography, performance brand imagery, and cutting-edge e-commerce photography for clients across South Africa and internationally.

My creative perspective was forged by two powerful forces: the raw, untamed South African landscapes I explored as a child, and the otherworldly glow of 1980s sci-fi cinema. This duality of the natural and the fantastical is the signature of my work today.

With a deep curiosity for the hidden structures of our world, from geology to quantum physics, I specialize in revealing the extraordinary in the ordinary. Through a process of both meticulous precision and creative play, I transform still-life objects by exploring their textures, forms, and translucencies.

Technical Process & Approach to Projects

From my Cape Town studio and workshop, I employ long exposure and shutter drag photography techniques, combined with FDL lighting for reflective surfaces and complex layer blending in post-production to achieve maximum detail and focus. My technical arsenal includes Capture One Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and experimental AI software to create entirely new visualizations of everyday items.

I shoot on high-quality sensors, fusing old-school Strobex strobes with modern LED constant lighting to bridge the classic and contemporary ages of creativity. This hybrid approach allows me to capture both the drama of traditional studio lighting and the precision of modern digital techniques.

Photographic Workflow and Post Production

My composite photography process is deeply personal - I gather my own plates and textures for every project, ensuring each brand receives imagery as unique as their identity. Some post-production edits require up to two days to complete, reflecting my commitment to technical excellence and creative innovation.

Drawing from my film industry experience in the early 2000s, I’m a firm believer in pre-production. When everything is planned and approved on paper, the production flows seamlessly from ideation to final deliverables.
